7 Day Juice Fast

This is just a little lowdown on the juice fast i’m really happy to have just done and be able to share with you all!  For myself i decided to do this 7 day juice fast as i just felt it was a time in my life where i knew i had hit a energetic plateau, and was feeling tired and moody too often no matter how much yoga, meditation i was doing.  So i thought, let me reboot the system.  And a juice fast was the perfect option for this.  It minuses out all the additives and excesses and replaces one’s intake with just pure micronutrients, just what our cells thrive on, plant food!  After breaking my fast, i cannot believe how great and energetic i feel, there is no amount of coffee i could drink (and i love coffee, i’ve drank a lot!) that has made me feel this mentally clear and calm and as physically energetic as ever.  Also i’ve noticed in my joint health and in my skin have amazing improvements!  Upon research of fasting, there has been a long history of the connection between the food we eat and our mental wellbeing and amazing healing benefits to our physical wellbeing.  I highly recommend this fast to everyone who is ready and willing, meditation is advised especially in those tough moments, if you already meditating its a great aid to those moments of desperation, when your at a juice bar that also serves coffee! LOL (if you are on medication or have any conditions, please consult with your doctor first before starting a fast) .  Also prepare your mind but giving yourself a few days knowing you will begin, be ready! Also I just happened to watch this motivating movie the day before I began; Fat, Sick and Nearly dead, it followed a Australian bloke who cured himself of his Auto Immune Disease that he was heavily medicated for, in a 60 day fast! 7 Days doesn’t seem tha bad then… Here is the link for the movie:

Re: Juicer: cannot use a blender, the juices should be extracted from veggies/fruit

This was my basic formula:

4-6 juices a day, drink equal amount of water if not more and around the 4th day drink a prune juice/psyllium husk to flush the toxins out.  Herbal teas are fine whenever.  

Here are my basic Juices:

Green Juice (Basic morning and midmorning juice, i made enough for 2 juices)

4 leaves Kale

4 leaves Spinach

Cucumber

2 granny smith apples

1/4 lemon

ginger

A great one for midday/afternoon (can always find at a juice stand)

Carrot

Apple 

Beetroot

(i like to throw spinach into everything so can add that)

Evening (I like savoury, so this was a bruschetta one i found, felt like dinner)

Kale 

Spinach

Tomatoes

Celery

parsley

cilantro

small clove garlic

lemon

There are tons of juice options, but i went as clean as possible, no additives, no powders.  Couple warnings, if you have never done a fast, maybe start with 3 days even though those are the days where the toxins are working out of the system, so there will be headaches and loss of energy, its only on the 4th day (after the prune juice lol!) that things really shifted, literally and the energy came!  I did light Yoga throughout and walked, but wasn’t too demanding, if i felt tired i took a break.  Be kind to yourself, this is all about renewing and lightening the load of mind and body…. 

I really loved this experience, if you need a shift in your life this is a great and healthy way to have a truly tremendous shift on many levels so instantaneously with the power of your own will, hands and with easily accessible tools, then this is truly a great way.

PS if you do do it, try to break the fast as lightly as possible with a green alkaline soup, lightly boiled veggies spinach, kale and zucchine blended and then lots of green leafy veggies and fresh fruit thereafter… After the fast its all about replacing the diet with as much as sun food as possible (plant food) and letting the treats be real treats… lots of love! xox
